Our herd is blessed with a beautiful home which offers them a free range lifestyle along the Niobrara River in North Central Nebraska... It truly is a piece of paradise.
Goals
My goals are to keep my herd small so that they all can have the attention they need to be happy, healthy and productive. (Hahaha Not so small anymore 32 strong) We still plan to engage in DHIR and LA, and I practice CAE prevention. Testing Annually for CAE Jones.(Random CL Testing) as We have never had a CL Abscess on our farm. Our focus has been to establishing the cookie cutter ADGA correct type American Oberhasli . We have been super blessed to have been able to incorporate some amazing breeding bucks from National Champion Does. And are now starting to see show wins. Currently 3 finished Champions 2 home grown .. and are well on our way to seeing more!!
Our goals for the upcoming 2 years is to get ready for the 2025 National Show in Nebraska and to place in the top 10

Why the American Oberhasli? Because in my opinion they are simply the BEST!!!
They are natural born milkers.. each and everyone that has blessed my farm I have loved.. even the ones that were born here naturally went to the milk stand with an inborn willingness to allow themselves to be milked without problems.. I've never had to "train" one to milk yet. They give large amounts of great tasting milk!! They are a hardy breed unlike some of their cousins. Friendly love attention, smaller then other dairy breeds with the exception of the Nigerian Dwarf. Their rich bay color pattern is something I've always enjoyed and because they are all basically the same color I can now focus on more important things like conformation, mammary, and production!
